(यो बल्गमा हामीले ईस्पेसल्ली लोकसेवाका सामाग्रीहरु राख्ने गर्छौ । र पनि यो जानकारी बिध्यार्थी हरुको लागी उपयोगी लागेको ले यस्लाई पनि यहाँ समावेस गरेका छौ। ) अब नेपाली विद्यार्थीले IELTS परिक्षाको लागि महिनौ कुर्नु नपर्ने भएको छ । ब्रिटीस काउन्सिलले IELTS परिक्षामा सहभागी हुुन चाहनेहरुको संख्या बढ्दै गइरहेको भन्दै उनिहरुको मागलाई सम्बोधन हुने गरी यहि २०१६ मार्चदेखी डिसेम्वरसम्म प्रतेक हप्ता IELTS परिक्षा दिनसक्ने व्यवस्था मिलाईएको जनाएको छ ।
पहिलो चरणमा काउन्सीलले यहि मार्च २०१६ देखि मे महिनासम्म परिक्षाको आवेदन मिति सार्वजनीक गरेको छ । काउन्सीलले परिक्षार्थीको सुविधाको लागि IELTS परिक्षा केन्द्र काठमाडौंमा मात्र केन्द्रीत नगरी पोखरा, विराटनगर, चितवन र भैरहवाबाटसमेत परिक्षा दिन सकिने उल्लेख गरेको छ ।
काउन्सीललाई IELTS परिक्षा दिन चाहनेहरुका लागि परिक्षाको डेट दिन नसकेको भन्दै विकल्पको रुपमा जान सरोकारवालाहरुलाई दवाव पर्दै आइरहेको थियो । सयौंको संख्यामा IELTS परिक्षा दिनबाट रोकिएकालाई विकल्प दिन सरोकारवालाहरुले काउन्सीललाई पटक–पटक ध्यानाकर्षण गराएपनि सिमित जनशक्तिका आधारमा परिक्षा तालिका व्यवस्थापन गर्न नसकिएको काउन्सीलले बताउँदै आएको थियो ।
पछिल्लो समय सरोकारवालाहरुले आफ्नो माग सम्बोधन नगरेको भन्दै काउन्सीलको विकल्पमा अर्को संस्थालाई भित्र्याउने तयारी गरिरहेको अवस्थामा काउन्सीलले हप्तैपिच्छे हुनेगरी परिक्ष तालीका सार्वजनीक गरेको छ ।

IELTS date opening – April 2016
British Council Nepal would like to share with you the calendar of IELTS exam dates from April 2016 to December 2016. In an effort to better serve our customers and meet the growing demand of IELTS the dates will be opened on a weekly basis starting from 9 March 2016. This year IELTS test will be conducted in Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Chitwan and Bhairahawa. In the first batch, the exam dates from April to June 2016 will be opened to be followed shortly by the remaining exam dates for the rest of the year. British Council is pleased to announce that the number of IELTS test dates have been increased to 43 as compared to 34 in 2015. British Council has acquired larger venues and recruited more examiners to meet this increased demand. British Council is also aware that the demand for General Training (GT) Module IELTS has increased and this year the number of IELTS GT seats has been increased both in Kathmandu and in venues outside of Kathmandu. Any unpaid registrations will be cancelled after the payment deadline of 6 working days or the registration closure date whichever is earliest and will be opened for new registration on a regular basis.

The price for IELTS is NPR 16, 950 for the test booked from April 2016 onwards. The payment deadline is 6 working days or the registration closure date (12 days before the exam date) whichever is earliest.
Note: Banking hours are Monday to Friday 9: 00 – 2:00 pm except
- on government holidays when bank shall open only until 12:00 pm
- on British Council holidays when the bank shall remain closed.
